UGANDA
KIS Infrastructure Project
Using Surveya automated survey solution, the project completed a month long census and socio-economic survey of 1 287 households using five field teams. For this project, Surveya facilitated fieldworker training, questionnaire development and assisted with remote data management and quality control (2012).
SOUTH AFRICA
Anglo Thermal Coal: Kriel Colliery Project
Surveya is responsible for undertaking annual resettlement monitoring and evaluation audits for 20 resettled households in Emalahleni, South Africa. The project includes developing and implementing a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, Grievance Management Procedure, Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, and a Livelihood Restoration Plan. Monitoring data is collected using Surveya’s automated survey process. (2011 to date).
Wildlands Conservation Trust: Inanda Mountain Reforestation Project
Surveya developed an automated monitoring and evaluation impact assessment process for a Community Reforestation Project in the Inanda Mountain Eco-Services Area (2013).
Kumba Iron Ore: Dingleton Resettlement Project
This project has benefited from the full suite of Surveya service offerings: Data Collection and Analysis, Stakeholder Management and Community Liaison and Communication (2010 – 2016).
MALI
SRK Consulting: Falea Mine Project
SRK used Surveya’s automated survey process to survey 150 households. Data was used to compile a socio-economic baseline for impact assessment reporting (2012).
KENYA
Nomad Consulting: Base Titanium Limited (BTL) Project
Using Surveya’s automated process, Nomad Consulting completed 250 interviews and the data gathered was used to compile a Social Impact Assessment for BTL (2011).
SWAZILAND
Knight Piésold: Ethemba Dam Project
Surveya gathered data for the social impact assessment and public consultation process for environmental authorisation.
AFRICA
Homecoming Revolution: Perceptions Survey
Surveya managed a perceptions survey for Homecoming Revolution that included 12 African countries and ran for a period of two months. Data was collected via a viral email survey (2012).
LIBERIA
AMEC: Dugbe 1 Gold Project
Using Surveya automated survey solution, AMEC completed a socio-economic baseline study of several communities neighbouring the proposed mine in the Buchanan County (2013).
DRC
SRK Consulting: PPC Cement
Surveya’s automated survey solution was used by SRK to interview 210
survey participants in five days (2014).
